Send receipt photos and PDF documents to the Tailride Telegram bot for processing.
Overview
Send a photo of a receipt (or a PDF) to the Tailride Telegram bot and it lands in your dashboard, fully processed. The bot shows live progress while your document is handled and replies with the extracted invoice details.
Setup Instructions
Open the Tailride Telegram bot and press Start
In Tailride, open the Integrations tab, click the Telegram card, and enter your Telegram username (the @username from your Telegram settings), then click Add username
Send a receipt photo or PDF to the bot — it will be processed and added to your dashboard
Your Telegram account must have a username set (Telegram → Settings → Username) — the bot identifies you by it. A username can be linked to only one Tailride account.
You can add multiple usernames (for example, team members or a second device); they appear as chips in the card settings and can be removed individually. Removing the last username disconnects the integration.
What You Can Send
- Photos of receipts (JPG/PNG — the highest resolution is used and converted to PDF)
- PDF documents
Other file types, voice messages, and videos are rejected with an explanatory reply.
Bot Replies
While processing, the bot posts a progress message and updates it step by step. When done you get one of:
- ✅ Receipt processed successfully — with the extracted invoice ID, amount, date, vendor, and a link to your dashboard
- ✅ Attached to a matching invoice — the document matched an existing invoice and was attached to it
- ⚠️ Duplicate — the receipt was already processed before
- ❌ Not a receipt or invoice — the image doesn't look like a financial document
- ⚠️ No credits left — you've run out of processing credits for the period
Bot Commands
/start— welcome message and connection status/help— usage instructions and photo-quality tips/status— connected username, remaining credits for the period, and total receipts processed via Telegram
Invoices received this way carry the Telegram source label in the invoice list, so you can filter by them.
