"Apple cannot verify it" / SmartScreen

Both are the operating system's first-launch gate for downloaded apps. macOS: right-click Tailride.app, Open, then Open again — or allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security. Windows: More info → Run anyway. Needed once.

"Sign in needed" notification

A portal's session expired or it asked for a code. Click Sign in on the supplier row: the portal's sign-in window opens once, and the session is kept afterwards. Portals with an authenticator app can run unattended once the TOTP setup key is in the vault.

A run stops with "out of credits"

Collection needs credits on your Tailride account; the balance is shown in the sidebar and tray. Add credits on tailride.so and the next run continues where it stopped.

A portal collects nothing

• Check the start date — only invoices dated on or after it are collected.
• Put the hidden browser on screen (Settings → Advanced → Show browser window) and run Collect to watch what the portal shows.
• Some pages need a CAPTCHA or an SMS code; the window stays open for you to complete it.

Browser sign-in does not come back to the app

Choose Sign in in a window instead on the sign-in screen. The app then shows the login page itself.

Nothing runs on schedule

Make sure the app is running (menu bar / tray icon present) and Start at login is on. Runs missed while the machine was asleep are caught up at the next opportunity.

Still stuck

Write to mike@tailride.so with the app version (Settings → About) and, if you can, the portal name.
