Schedule and background collection

Schedule

Settings → Schedule sets when collection runs: hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or Off to collect only by hand, at the time (and day) you choose. A fresh install starts with a weekly run; change it whenever you like. Each supplier can also have its own schedule.

The app runs from the menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows) and starts at login when Start at login is on. Closing the main window does not quit the app.

After sleep

A run that fell into a period when the machine was asleep or off is caught up the next time the app is running. Nothing is skipped silently.

What a run does

For each supplier, in turn: open the portal in the hidden browser with that profile's session, sign in if needed, walk the invoice list from the start date, download every invoice not seen before, upload it to Tailride and save a local copy. Proton Mail sources have their own schedule, separate from portal collection.

Notifications

Native notifications tell you when:

• a portal needs you to sign in again,
• a run finished, with how many invoices were collected,
• an upload failed, with the server's message,
• your credits ran out (the run stops and resumes once credits are added).

Watching or stopping a run

The tray menu and the dashboard show the active run and let you stop it. Settings → Advanced → Show browser window makes the hidden browser visible while a run is in progress.
