Overview
Tailride settings and configuration options.
Settings Sections
The Settings tab is organized into sections, in the order they appear in the sidebar:
General
Your company's country, main currency, amount display format, automatic tagging of subscriptions, and account deletion.
File Names
Customize how invoice files are named: components, date format, separator, capitalization, and whether automatic renaming is enabled at all.
Accounts
Team members and their access, connected email sources, and transferring root access to another account.
Skip Rules
Skip emails from specific senders or domains during invoice scanning.
AI Rules
Custom free-text rules that adjust how invoices are processed.
Chart of Accounts
Your expense accounts for invoice coding: sync from an accounting integration, apply a country template, import coding history, and manage individual accounts.
Suppliers & Coding Rules
Your supplier list with aliases and merge suggestions, plus per-supplier default accounting codes and industries used by automatic coding.
Cost Tracking
Sync cost dimensions from Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage and assign them automatically with rules based on delivery address, PO number, and similar fields.
Notifications
Email notifications — currently the monthly expense insights summary.
Webhooks
Receive real-time HTTP notifications in your own systems when invoices are processed. Premium feature, available to the root account.
If you purchased Tailride through AppSumo, an additional License section shows your AppSumo plan details.
Saving Changes
- General, File Names, and Notifications use explicit Save / Cancel buttons — changes apply only after you click Save. Restore default resets the form (you still need to Save).
- All other sections save automatically: every action (adding a rule, inviting a team member, syncing accounts, editing a supplier) takes effect immediately.
Access
Some options are only visible to the root account: the Delete account card, the Transfer Root flow, and the Webhooks section. Cost tracking is available to the workspace owner and a linked accountant with dashboard access. Team members see the sections their access level allows.
