Accounts
Manage team members, their permissions, connected email sources, and root access.
Overview
The Accounts section covers two lists — team members (people who can sign in to your workspace) and email sources (mailboxes Tailride extracts invoices from) — plus root access administration. A single Google or Microsoft account can serve as both.
Team Members
The Accounts table shows every account that can sign in: the email, the sign-in provider (Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, email + password, or accountant access), a Root badge for the workspace owner, and three permission toggles:
- Dashboard access — can view and use the dashboard (on by default)
- Billing access — can manage billing and subscription
- View own invoices only — can only see invoices uploaded through their own account
Accountant-access members are marked with an Accountant badge.
Only the root account can change permissions or remove members. Nobody can edit their own row, and the root account's permissions can't be changed — it always has full access.
Inviting People
Click Invite users to generate an invite link. There are two link types:
- Team colleagues — regular workspace access
- Accountant — accountant-scoped access
Copy the link and send it yourself; links expire after the period shown in the dialog.
Removing Members
Click the trash icon next to a member and confirm. This cannot be undone.
Email Sources
The Sources table lists mailboxes used for invoice extraction — Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and IMAP accounts — with a status badge and an Invoice extraction toggle to pause or resume scanning per source.
- New sources are connected right here with the Add source button — choose Google, Microsoft, Microsoft shared mailbox, Yahoo, or IMAP, the same menu as on the Dashboard tab. The button is disabled when the plan's source limit is reached
- Sources with invoice extraction enabled show a gear icon that opens the scanned-folders settings for that mailbox
- IMAP sources can be removed directly with the trash icon; OAuth sources (Gmail/Outlook/Yahoo) are removed by removing the account itself
- A mailbox can only be extracted by one workspace — connecting an already-extracted address shows an error
Administration: Transferring Root Access
The root account can hand over ownership to another connected account (Google, Microsoft, or email + password — accountant and IMAP accounts are not eligible):
- In the Administration card, pick the new root account from the dropdown
- Click Transfer root access and confirm
After the transfer, the current root loses administrative privileges and is signed out; the new root takes over on next sign-in.
