Make
Start Make scenarios automatically when invoices are processed or updated in Tailride.
Overview
The Tailride app for Make starts your scenarios the moment something happens to an invoice — push new invoices into your ERP, notify a channel when a payment status changes, archive files, or anything else Make can connect to.
The app provides these modules:
- Watch New Invoices (instant trigger) — runs when a document has been fully processed and recognized as an invoice.
- Watch Updated Invoices (instant trigger) — runs when an already-processed invoice changes: fields edited in the dashboard, payment status updated, or supporting documents attached or removed. The bundle includes a list of what changed.
- Search Invoices (search) — finds processed invoices by invoice number, vendor, sender, email subject, notes, line items, or amount, newest first. Leave the search empty to get the most recent invoices. This is the same search as the search box in your invoice list.
Every module returns the full invoice: vendor, recipient, amounts, line items, tags, payment status, and download links for the invoice file and its supporting documents. The data is the same as in the webhook payload.
Availability
The Make integration is available on paid plans and is set up by the root user of the account.
Prerequisites
- A paid Tailride plan
- A Make account
Setup Instructions
Create an API key in Tailride
Go to Settings → Webhooks and scroll to API keys. Enter a name (for example, "Make") and click Create API key.
Copy the key right away — for security reasons it is shown only once. If you lose it, revoke it and create a new one. See API keys for details.
Connect Tailride in Make
In your Make scenario, add a Tailride module and click Create a connection. Paste the API key and save. The connection is labeled with your Tailride account email.
Add a trigger
Choose Watch New Invoices or Watch Updated Invoices as the first module of the scenario and save it. Make registers the trigger with Tailride automatically — no URL to copy.
Turn the scenario on
From now on, every processed or updated invoice starts the scenario.
Managing the Connection
- Triggers you add in Make appear in Settings → Webhooks with a Make badge. You can pause them there like any other webhook.
- When you delete the webhook in Make, Tailride removes it automatically. If Make stops accepting deliveries for a deleted trigger, Tailride removes it as well.
- Webhooks created by Make do not count toward the limit of 10 webhooks you can add manually.
- Revoking an API key disconnects Make immediately: the connection stops working, and the webhooks Make created with that key are removed from Tailride.
- Webhooks created by Make cannot be edited in Tailride (URL and custom headers are set by Make). You can still pause or delete them.
Invoice dates and time zones
Invoice dates have no time of day. Make displays dates in your organization's time zone, so west of UTC an invoice date can appear as the previous day. To map the date exactly as printed on the invoice, format it in UTC: formatDate(invoice.invoiceDate; "YYYY-MM-DD"; "UTC").
Download links are temporary
File links expire after 24 hours in trigger output and after 1 hour in Search Invoices results. Download the files in the same scenario run, for example with Make's HTTP → Get a file module. After a link expires, the file is still available in your Tailride dashboard.
Make an API Call
The app also includes the Make an API Call module for advanced use. It sends authorized requests to the Tailride API using your connection.
